My Super Saturday project was the Witch Shoes you saw on my sidebar for the last month or so. They turned out super cute! Here's a little behind the scenes.
Let's just say, I would rather cut off my little finger than try dying ANYTHING eVeR again. Those instructions were too confusing. I even had to dump our milk into a seperate container so that I had a gallon measurer. (using a cup to measure 3 gallons didn't sound so fun...)
Here's the dye bath. Looks creepy, huh. Good Halloween image here. Almost looks like floating body parts or something. lol.
Here's gross me constantly agitating the socks. I don't know who was more agitated, me or the socks! :)
Laying the socks all over my counter. Good thing my countertops are brown because I'm sure they would have ended up brown after all that dye.
Here's the final product. Pretty good knock-off, huh?
(scroll down to the bottom to see the original)
I bought these years ago at a store. They were mass produced in China, I think. So the original creator is unknown.
{I think I actually like the knockoff better than the original, what do you think?}
These are so cute!!! I would love a template if its not to much trouble.

ReplyDeleteVERY darling! Turned out great. I'm waiting to see what you're going to do with the bed springs. You should have a contest to see who guesses the closest (haha). I'm thinking maybe something in a garden?
