fab zipper necklace

i've decided that my dream vacation would include a trip to the Coats and Clark zipper outlet. lol but seriously, isn't this necklace sweet? it's so dramatic and cool. AND i made it so that i can interchange out the beads using lobster clips so that i can change it up for different outfits. {sorry, i don't have any other beads strung for this necklace yet, but i have plans for some sweet teal beads i found on Saturday.}
i'm not sure yet if i'll make and sell these in my etsy shop or not since we're moving soon. but you guys know i luv ya, right? so of course i have plans for a tutorial in a couple days :)

  3. Cute! I love that it can be changed up too! We just had a Micheal's open up near us and they had the most amazing selection of beads...it made me want to make some jewelry!

  6. That is so great! I second you on the vacation stop :) Maybe not the zipper outlet, but something else that normal people would consider weird - like a big fabric store or something :)

  7. Great necklace! Can't wait to see it with the teal beads.

    But where do you buy your zippers? I have been looking for a source to buy them in bulk--or at least more economically than they come individually from the fabric store. The zippers with silver "teeth" are especially hard to find.

    I'd like to try all of your tutorials and make a bunch of gifts, but I can't find a good source.

    Thanks. And good luck with the move.
