jack-o-lantern blocks

i {heart} simple crafts. and glass blocks are like the staple craft.....everyone has to have at least one! they look great and are ridiculously easy to do. i recently teamed up with Lindsey at WordyBird to design these jack-o-lanterns.
aren't they scary cute?
i used two 8x8 inch square glass blocks and one 4x8 inch glass block.
these would be perfect to put lights in so that they light up on Halloween night.
or you can tie a strip of black burlap around the block too for a fun twist.

these jack-o-lantern vinyl decals can be found at WordyBird. you can also check out Lindsey's blog Understating Elegance for more ideas on how to use vinyl decals. Lindsey and i are working on some other designs so stay tuned!
happy crafting!

  1. I LOVE these! SO cute... and you're right, they would be perfect with a light behind them! Or on a square candle holder so that you could put a candle inside. I can't wait to see what else you guys come up with! :]

  11. I have some orange vinyl laying around and this is a great idea...I think I may make some and put them on my dinning room door windows.

  12. I design and cut vinyl, too, and made some similar blocks. Instead of faces, though, I wrote Boo! In a scary font inside an orange pumpkin with a thick green ribbon around the block. It was great! Let me know if you'd ever like to work together!
