welcome to my *new* master bedroom! i think it turned out awesome! the yellow flower pillows were my inspiration for this makeover. then i redid my headboard {see this post} and then decided to go with gray with accents of yellow. not too girly for Davis, but not too manly for me.

i made this canvas wall hanging with my Silhouette......have i told you how much i love my Silhouette?!
and as you can see, i still need window treatments. i had some white tiered drapes i got online, but i didn't notice the material was tulle until after i opened the box. ugh. Davis thought they looked like wedding dresses on our windows.... i had to agree! so, i'm back to base 1 on those.
there were several projects i did for this makeover. i'll post more details and a couple tutorials later. :)
we got this dresser at goodwill for $30. it was an ugly wood with large brass handles. after a fresh coat of black paint and some shiny new hardware, it's gorgeous! side note: Davis and i bought that mirror on our 1 year anniversary. :)

ReplyDeleteLove it! I am glad to know I am not the only one who 'goodwill' shops. I love spring/summer - I really hit up the yard sales for good finds that can be 'refurbished'. :)

Super cute remodel! I LOVE the black furniture (did you have to use any special paint?), but I'll admit I'm sad to see the red leave. Great job!

I love the "new" dresser - I want to paint our sideboard, but I keep chickening out. Perhaps this spring...
ReplyDeleteOh wow Linda, I love it!!! The room is beautiful. I also appreciate that when I click to open, it matches your blog :)
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, I just hopped over from CreativeJewishMom's linky party. You have great taste in crafts and decor! I look forward to catching up on your old posts. I really like the t-shirt pom poms. Both my daughters collect t-shirts from every event they attend, so this would be fun for them to create from the old ones.
