So I got this crazy idea: to mod podge my handbag. Crazy I know! But it worked. And I think it's pretty darn cute! I'm sure you're wondering 'what the heck were you thinking'. I wondered myself. Especially after I told one of my friends my plan. She gave me a strange look and told me that I had to post it even if it didn't work. (thanks for the vote of confidence, Melissa!:)
Anyways, I have to give you a little "Bag History". I got it as a newly wed in Idaho on one of the hub's well thought out "dates" to the local thrift store (we were hard up for money.... just like now!! lol). We paid a whoppin $1 for it. I used it for several years, but I have since moved on to bigger bags (read: diaper bag). Anyways, sorry for all the chatter, here it is!!

I lOvE it!!
I added a yellow flower clip I made and I think it sets it off perfectly. {To see my flower clip tutorial, click here.} The yummy paper is from MME's "Stomp" line, which I'm totally diggin with right now.
Here's the Before pic:
And some pics my man took of me.

ReplyDeleteThat is just too cool! I've been wanting a new handbag and this gives me some ideas. I'm thinking beautiful fabric (from a thrift store garment) mod podged onto a thrift store bag. Hmm, too bad I already spent my thrift "allowance" for this week.. :)
